Cardiff Comic Con and Meeting Alex Vlahos

Today I went with my friend Molly to Cardiff Comic Con. Truth be told I was only going because of Alex Vlahos and wasn't holding out much hope for the actual convention. However, the convention itself was absolutely incredible and so much fun. There were loads of stalls selling postcards, badges, posters, wrist bands, you name it they sold it with Doctor Who to The Hunger Games to Game of Thrones to The Avengers to Harry Potter and so much more. My self and Molly spent ridiculous amounts of money but it was totally worth it.

We queued to get Alex Vlahos' autograph and we had a small conversation: I was so shocked by how nice he is and was a little bit speechless for a while so thank God for Molly, however, after I got some courage I spoke to him and gave him a letter with some sweets in it, he got quite excited about the sweets, haha.

We shopped around for a while more until we literally had about £1 between us and queued to get our photos with Alex, it was pretty quick and so I am really glad we queued up to meet him before so at least we got a conversation with him. He was so lovely and funny and I honestly cant believe how brilliant he is. So I'm going to stop now before I gush too much but overall I had an amazing day and my room is looking even more fandomy than before, which I didn't even think was possible, but there we go.

*Sadly I am going back to school tomorrow and that means summer is obviously over and so I will be posting less frequently.*

The Tempest and meeting Colin Morgan!

On August 6th 2013, I went to London with my family for a few days. The reasoning behind this was because I brought tickets to go and see Colin Morgan in the Tempest on the 7th, we live in Wales and so its not really easy to just go down for the show and come back. I have been excited for this day since buying the tickets at the very beginning of this year, I held on to the hope that even if I couldn't meet him I would still be able to see him in the play.

I am not a Shakespeare lover and so I didn't really know what to expect, I did have misconceptions that it would be dull, boring and lifeless however, in retrospect I couldn't have been more wrong. It was actually hilarious and very interactive. The cast were amazing and interacted with the audience whilst still staying very much in character. However, the star of the show for me was obviously Colin Morgan: he was breath taking; not just because he is obviously ridiculously attractive but his acting is absolutely mesmerising. He has said that he trained in parkour for the role of Ariel and he was swinging around on the stage with such ease that you thought he was walking down the road. He was literally swinging around the walls, steps and stage. There was a moment where he sat on a rock literally about a metre away from me (I think I died slightly). As for the actual play I was very impressed and I wouldn't rule out seeing another one. The only downside was that I stood up in the gallery which killed my legs but when you're there you get too wrapped up to really notice; its only when you try walking afterwards it becomes a bit of a problem.

After the play I rushed out with my mum to get to the stage door. There was absolutely loads of people there on the 7th and so we went behind a barrier because there was probably about 90 people there, I was lucky enough to get right at the front and so had an amazing view. When he came out everyone was fairly respectful and there wasn't too much pushing. As for Colin himself, he was everything I expected and more: he was so modest, happy and kind. He must have been there for a good half an hour trying to sign everything, and he basically got round to everyone and if he didn't sign something he at least acknowledged them. He signed two things for me and I managed to even speak to him, I told him that he was amazing and was wicked in the play and he looked me in the eye, smiled and said thank you it meant a lot(!!!!!). Then I asked him if he could sign the programme as well as the ticket and he said yeah sure.

It may not seem like a lot but it honestly has made my entire year, despite the fact that he had just done a three hour show he still came out to meet his fans and was happy and so lovely. It's honestly so refreshing and I know I am waffling on now but my opinion of him has gone so high right now that its sky high. Also you should probably spare a thought for my family and friends because I don't see myself shuting up about this little escapade any time soon!

When life gives you lemons

Obviously the most imminent thing that I am looking forward to is my trip to London and of course seeing Colin Morgan (*internally screaming*). Honestly I cant believe that this has come around so quickly, I remember when it was like 200days until when we first booked the tickets but nope its only 4 days until London and 5 days until the Tempest(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Then on September 1st I am meeting Alex Vlahos at Cardiff Comic Con! I am so excited because I have paid to have a photo with him so I know 100% that I will be meeting him! Its great because he is my favourite Merlin knight.

Then two days after that I am starting sixth form (well, if I get the results I need from my GCSEs). I am looking forward to sixth form more than any other year because I finally get to meet new people and hopefully make new friends because the schools in the area combine their sixth forms to let you have more range of subjects. Also I am looking forward to doing subjects that I like and not doing them because I am forced to (Maths, science, I'm looking at you). 

Then possibly the most exciting thing possible that is happening this year... Florida in October! Honestly, I don't think I have been more excited for a holiday ever. When we booked this holiday I think we had about 412 days until or something like that and I thought it would never come around, but it is and I couldn't be more excited. I am also looking forward to buying a Mr Potato Head, Sully and Mike toys and Despicable Me Minion along with many other things I am sure. Despite my age I'll never grow up.

After Florida, it doesn't end there, oh no, I am then going to a Doctor Who convention on the 23rd of November with my friend Molly in London. It will be the last Doctor Who convention that will have Matt Smith as the current Doctor and hopefully we will get to see him if not meet him and all of the older Doctors as well! Very exciting stuff!

I have also decided that whilst I am on summer I will continue to post whenever I want but when school starts back I will probably only post once a week, probably on a sunday, just so you know.

My kind of decoration

My bookcase is my pride and joy. I know it sounds ridiculous but honestly it is my favourite part of my room, so in saying that I like to spend a lot of money to make it look awesome. Apart from obviously housing my books it also showcases a couple of my favourite action figures.

So starting with those from Harry Potter

Harry Potter from the first year and I believe that this figure is limited edition because of the cobwebbed cloak, however, that's just a guess.

This is Professor Quirrel and if you turn his turban around it has the face of Voldemort on it which is a pretty cool feature.

Then we have probably my favourite trio of figures. Harry Potter, Fred and George Weasley in their Gryffindor Quidditch uniforms and a broomstick.

Then we have a Goblin from Gringotts Wizard bank and a cart full of 'jewels'. 

And a small Harry Potter Lego figure of him by a potions 'classroom'.

Welcome back- royal baby, heatwave and excuses.

I know that my posting has been pretty slacking and when I have posted it is relatively small posts.

That is for several reasons but the first and most important one is that, to be honest I didn’t really have anything to write about. I couldn’t review anything because I hadn’t watched anything new, I hadn’t read anything new because ever since exams my brain has almost shut off from any kind of reading and is only slowing getting back into it now, a month later.

Also, as I’m sure you will know if you live in the UK or seen it on the internet with all of us Brits complaining, but we have had a heatwave and to be honest instead of being on a computer I’ve been in front of a fan with an ice lolly. Something that I did get from reading Tumblr is that people from other countries when it comes to weather are the most obnoxious people ever. To be perfectly honest America, I don’t care if you have it hotter than we have in our heatwave and you cope, because you try dealing with it with no air conditioning and nothing in place for hot weather, because after all we are the land that rains a lot. Also our UV rays from the sun are far stronger than most places and therefore it makes it seem way hotter than what it actually is, so whilst it may be reading 28C really its about 31C. Which yes is still colder than where you are, but shut up. You are used to hot weather we are not and its as simple as that. I have come to the conclusion that Britain is not ready for any kind of weather, we completely fall to pieces when anything out of the ordinary happens- like when it snowed at the start of the year and the whole country shut down well it’s exactly the same with the sun.

Anyway that turned into more of a rant than I anticipated but hay ho. Basically what I am trying to say is that I have several new posts lined up including reviews and possibly even a Merlin fanfiction that I wrote, but I’m still unsure if I want to post that or not. 

Also as a side note, unless you are living under a rock and do not know this, Prince William and Kate Middleton have had their first baby, a baby boy, yet to be named and will be third in line to the throne. The entire country has gone mad about it and apparently so has the rest of the world, in way I am glad that I haven’t had any internet access because I have been down my Nans for a few days, apart from twitter because I would have gone mad with it being the only thing anyone is talking about. None the less CONGRATULATIONS. It must be pretty crazy being a baby and every single person in the world knowing who you are, also imagine calling the Queen, Nan/Grandma, that would be pretty weird would it not? Oh and I've just been told he's called George, which is a lovely name: welcome to the world George. Also how amazing does Kate look regardless to just having given birth? 

Maggie Smith fan mail reply!

A few months ago I sent Maggie Smith and a few others some fan mail letters with a few photos I had printed from online onto photo paper. I never thought I'd actually get a response and seeing as Maggie Smith is one of my absolute favourite actress and humans ever I couldn't be more happy.

Despite the fact that she is probably super busy what with filming Downton Abbey series 4 I think its pretty great that she takes the time out to reply to fans such as myself. So I've got her autograph next up is to meet her!

Goodreads

As you know if you read my blog a lot then you will realise that I absolutely love reading. I am always on a constant hunt for books, I love reviewing them and I just like losing myself in the internet looking for books/reading about books and just generally books.

Therefore the best website for me to do this is Goodreads. I created an account absolutely ages ago, but in all honestly with the business of life forgot all about it, until today. Pet peeves of a fiction obsessed sixteen year old

I have probably done plenty of these posts that either tell you more about me or more to the point what annoys me, but this time I'm going to make it more topical. I am going to talk about things in literacy, films and music that irritates me to the end of the earth and back again.

1. When people bend the page of their books and/or bend/break the spine on their books.
Okay, I do think I have a slight OCD when it comes to looking after books and if you look at about 95% of my books in my bookcase, despite having read each book several times, you will not find a single break in the spine or a bend in a page. (Apart from the dreaded initial break that you get just from opening it, but even that one is so faint you can barely see it). Literally whenever I see anyone doing either of those things I just want to slap the book out of their hands and repair the damage immediately. This is also why I very, very rarely lend my books to people unless I know they can be trusted to treat it carefully. This is also another reason why I cannot deal with library books and have never ever read a book from the library because they are always so tatty and broken that it just takes the enjoyment out of reading for me. The care of books is something I do not take lightly, my friend.

2. When there is a misprint or spelling error in a book.
This is just careless on the publishers part; although, granted, its a very rare thing to happen and even more rare with printed books. However, I've noticed especially on E-Books there can be careless mistakes and it takes you a few time to read over the sentence to understand what was trying to be said. It's extremely frustrating because the amount of times that a book is read and re-read and re-re-read before its published silly mistakes should be seen and sorted out.

3.When films based on adaptations just get the casting all wrong.
I know that everyone has their own ideas about what a certain character looks like when they are described in a book. For example, when I read a book I imagine most of my characters as cartoons and so I find it hard to describe a character to another person who is not inside my head. However, sometimes I really do question if the casting people have read the books at all; take the new Divergent movie for example, Shailene Woodley and Theo James look nothing, absolutely nothing like how I would have imagined them (you know if my brain wasn't weird and turned everyone into cartoons) I just feel like its disappointing for the fan of the books. I understand that it would be impossible to find an actor that everyone loves and imagines in the place of their favourite character but at least attempt it. Harry Potter is a fine example of brilliant casting and costume; you can just tell that the casting people took the time to read the books and study the characters with detail. I am just left feeling like that in today's Hollywood, film companies are more interested in whacking out as many films as possible without really investing too much time into them.
p.s I'm sure these actors mentioned above are good, I've yet to see them in anything but this comment is made purely on their looks (vain, I know right).

4.When books could have been finished but the author tries to milk it.
This is extremely frustrating when you find a decent new book series, you read the first few and it seems that all of the events have been rounded off well and nicely, however, then the author keeps writing new books with weaker plots. This makes the series loose its integrity and makes the reader get bored and disengaged with the writing. Authors need to know when its best to put a series to bed: know when to quit, go out on a high. Particular examples of this are The House of Night series and The Mortal Instrument series. The House of Night currently has 10 books in the series when realistically they could have stopped writing them at about book 5/6, I really cannot be bothered to continue reading the rest in the series because it is getting boring and silly. The Mortal Instruments could have been finished on book 3, that would have left the reader wanting more but not really needing it, the 4th book was lacking compared to the others and took me a long time to get through it. What I am trying to say is that if you want to write a successful book series then you need to know when enough is enough, you want the reader to want more but that they don't necessarily need to have any more because the story is strong enough without it.

5.When films change what happens in the books in a very sucky way.
Sucky isn't the most sophisticated adjective but it describes what I am talking about in the best way possible. When a film is based on an adaptation, I understand that somethings have to be changed so that they make it cinematically pleasing but when they completely change the way an event happens in the book to something that to anyone who has read the books just does not make sense, then you know you have a problem. Take Harry Potter (probably the first time I am criticising it on my blog, take note because it wont happen very often, haha) in the last film (Deathly Hallows part 2) Harry snaps the Elder Wand in half and throws it away... however, in the book, Harry uses the Elder Wand to repair his old trusty wand and then returns the Elder Wand back to Dumbledore's grave. According to the film Harry no longer has a wand after he does what he does because it does not show him fixing his previous wand. To any fan of the books this will come as a very large annoyance, it would have taken the film makers literally about 2 minutes to show what happened in the book but instead they decided on a scene that is just stupid.

This is my absolute favourite video of all time. It literally makes me cry because it just optimises their friendship. Even if you're not a fan of them or of the show, this video is guaranteed to crack a smile out of you.

Taylor Swift - 22 (Cover By The Vamps)
I saw The Vamps live when they were supporting McFly on their tour and so I decided after being impressed by them at the show to check out their YouTube channel. This happens to be my favourite along with the video underneath; I think that the songs show off their voices really well and to be honest I think I prefer their versions to the originals. Can't wait for their new album!

This is one of the funniest videos I have seen in a long, long, long time. The first time I watched it I think I had tears streaming down my face, it is just hilarious. If you're feeling down and need something to have an innocent giggle at, then this is your video.

Imagine Dragons - Demons (Official Music Video)
I don't think I have put a video that is an 'official' video from a 'real band' on these lists before but this video truly couldn't go unmentioned. It is breathtaking, it epitomises the simplicity of how much a band/music/gig can bring a moment of solace to someone who seems completely fine on the outside but on the inside they are harbouring a world of pain: simply brilliant. The song is fantastic as well, but then it is Imagine Dragons so you can't really expect anything less.

Who-Ology book review

First of all: if you are any sort of Doctor Who fan then buy this immediately. This book is full to the brim with facts, figures and funny quips from all 50 years of Who. For someone who is a fan of the show but doesn't have access to the older Doctor Who episodes, this book enables you to get closer to the past regenerations and learn just as much as if you were to watch the episodes.

 I'm going to let it speak for itself and show you a few pictures from the book.

It goes through all eleven Doctors and gives you general facts about each man. Including what they did before Who, date of birth, first and last regular episode of Who, etc.

This was interesting because it shows you exactly who is in his family and for a man who thinks he's alone he certainly has a decent size family. 

This is my favourite page in the book: it shows you all of the first and last words from the Doctor, I personally think that these two sentences from each magnificent Doctor captures their personality and the way the captured and made their Doctor different from the others extremely well.

So there are a few pictures of pages from the book; but so as not to spoil it completely for you, I will give you the advice to go out and get it straight away. It also would make a pretty amazing present for any Who fan: past or present.

Teachers and students

Obviously high school is a horrible time for all of us and if you have had or are having a good experience then you my friend are one of the lucky ones. Now, let me paint you a pretty picture of my personality when I am in school; I am extremely shy and quiet when in classrooms with people who are not my friends. I only have a small group of friends and would really rather not venture outside of that confinement, so therefore you can call me an introvert. I am conscientious about homework and school work and in my entire school life I have only missed about three pieces of homework, I get good grades but hardly ever put my hand up in class because of social anxiety: I am what you call a typical nerd. Right, now that's out of the way, I am going to tell you a few experiences I have had in high school.

In year seven (so about 11-12), despite what I said in the first paragraph, in year seven I was confident and had a lot of friends (yep, miss popular over here) and I didn't really care about answering back to teachers. However, this time in science a girl who had some sort of learning difficulty was playing with the splint I used to light the Bunsen burner, as myself and my group were doing the experiment that we were told to do, she was lighting and re-lighting the splint. We ignored it for a while until she dropped it on my foot; so obviously we all told her to stop playing with fire or someone would get hurt. She then cried and went off to her helper, who was literally like Satan in a woman's body, lets call her Mrs B. Mrs B then started shouting at me for telling this girl off then my actual teacher came over and starting tell me off as well. So obviously I was pretty pissed off at the fact that I had done nothing wrong and I was getting screamed at, so I answered back, I think I said something along the lines of "If anyone else was playing with fire and it landed on someone's foot, you'd be having a go at them, but just because its **** you think its okay to have a go at me" he then literally screamed at me to shut up. What was great though was that my entire class started having a go at my science teacher and saying that he was being harsh towards me (real sense of community when teenagers join together to prove teachers wrong). I ended up getting detention because I had proved him wrong and he couldn't take it. I hasten to add that this was my first and my last ever detention I had throughout my school life, so that just shows you how much of an idiot that teacher was being.

Also in year seven, a boy in my form was a complete and utter prat to me. I wouldn't say he bullied me but he wasn't the nicest to me and often remarked on my weight (I hadn't lost my puppy fat then and I was still much shorter than everyone else and so I looked a bit like a gnome), my eyes and how big my nose was and that I got spots, unfortunately I was one of those teenagers that got bad spots early on in puberty (they're not so bad now, thank god) but hardly anyone one else in my classes was going through this stage and so he always made fun of me for it. Although on a side note: karma is a bitch and he ended up getting extremely severe acne a year or so later which was much worse than what I ever had. However, back on point, he carried on with this annoying nitpicking at me for the first term of year seven, the only reason that he stopped was when he saw me talking to my big brother, who at the time was in year 11 and was 6ft2 which was very intimidating to us little year sevens. After he saw me with my brother he never said another bad word to me ever again; it just shows you how ridiculous boys can be at this age, just ignore them and if that doesn't work get your big brother to stand next to you.

Now, after year seven our form got split up and you start getting set, I was in really good sets but that meant that I was with none of my friends, so I had to make new ones and this unfortunately was when I started to become shy and introverted and gradually as I have gotten older its getting worse, which is the most annoying thing in the world. However, this has created some pretty interesting school experiences, but for the benefit of this post not getting to long, they will be shared another day.

Alex Vlahos tweeted me and My sixteenth birthday

Yesterday (14/06) was my birthday and I turned sixteen; so obviously I did what any person who has just turned 16 does and brought my first lottery ticket (fingers crossed, it gets drawn tonight so I may be a millionaire by morning) and signed up for internet banking. Also I am now eligible to go on Jeremy Kyle if you know the need should ever arise. (This is of course always greeted by a very worried look that people think I am being serious. No I can ashore you I'd rather chop my fingers off than go on there. Anyway, I think you have to have no teeth or greasy hair to even be allowed in the first place.) I thought I would show you some of the things I got for my birthday *I am not trying to show off or whatever but I got some really cool things and would like to show them*

I got these two little boxes with a figure of Hedwig and a Time Turner necklace. These are part of a set you can buy because I have a Snitch made by the same company but got it about a year ago now. They are really affordable too which is always a bonus.

I thought this was really cool: its called a Desktop Aquarium and it came in a little box with all of the stuff you see and you just add water. It comes with a little red wand type thing with a magnet that makes it look as though the fish are swimming. This is funny because I have always wanted fish in my room since I was little and so this was my mum's compromise.

I also got a few books and DVDs which is always welcomed. From left to right...

I also got this set of books by Michael Grant and I just thought that they deserved their own picture because the edges of the pages are multicoloured and that excites me very much. (the simple things in life)

So they were my favourite presents that I received, I also have Who-ology as well but there was a problem with the postage but that hasn't arrived yet but once it does I'll probably do a review or something. I also obviously got my Colin Morgan cut out which is standing tall and very gorgeous next to me.

So today, (15/06) Alex Vlahos who you may or may not know is one of my favourite actors and he plays Mordred in Merlin (I am also dying for him to become the Doctor- read why here) was holding a Twitter Q and A to say thank you for the amount of money raised on his Kickstarter page. I obviously joined in and so did my friend Molly and eventually a few attempts later he actually replied to me. 

When I say I was happy, I don't think you understand. I saw it, I screamed, my mum nearly crashed the car because she wondered what was going on and my brother was looking and me as if I was crazy because I was shaking and laughing and crying all at the same time. Its amazing that it literally only took him probably like one minute to write that tweet but he has honestly made my birthday and made me an extremely happy girl. So now all that's left of my day is to feel somewhat guilty about not revising for my maths exam, eat some Colin the Caterpillar cake and play on Sims 3 University, oh and tell everyone who has ears about Alex tweeting me.

A day filled with Colin Morgan

So today I had my last but one exam: an exam that I was not looking forward to at all. So I was feeling pretty crap and nervous. After my exam had finished I was feeling a bit rubbish because as expected it didn't go amazingly well but I spotted my friend Nicole. I said hello but I was confused because, I didn't know why she was in school when she didn't have an exam; anyway we carried on walking and just around the corner was Molly with a huge Colin Morgan cardboard cut out with a birthday girl sash on it. I was so, so, so surprised and I'm pretty sure that everyone who was leaving the exam was wondering what the hell was going on.

As you can see from the picture above I was still in shock as we were walking away, haha. Honestly as cringey and soppy as it sounds I was so completely bowled over because I had never actually been surprised like that before and it was amazing. So thank you to Molly, Nicole and Shannon! I now have a very delightful looking Colin Morgan in my bedroom. (Never thought I'd say that) 

So not only did I have my cardboard cut out, my dad came home from work with a small present for me. One of his workmates had mentioned earlier in the week that he was selling some book and seeing as my dad is an avid book collector he asked if he could look through it. Lo and behold this little gem was in the pile and of course my dad picked it up to give to me.

Obviously because it is an activity book the puzzles had already been completed but there was still a whole two pages of unused stickers and plenty of Merlin pictures in the book. So I got my scissors and glue and cut out my favourite pictures in the book and was able to make a little collage of them all.

I still have a few of the larger ones as you can see around the edge that I will put up separately because they are big enough and I still have my stickers. This pleases me greatly because its really hard to find decent Merlin posters and so what's better than making your own? Its not often I am Picasso but when I am I really am. Haha.

If only every day was a day when people showered me in gifts with Colin Morgan on them... (a girl can dream, hahaha)

My week in pictures

I'm sorry but I have serious writers block because I think my brain is going into meltdown with the amount of exams and revision I have done. Still, only four more to go and its my birthday this week as well!

1. I made some cakes for my Nan's birthday. (Vanilla: her favourite)

2. I found my name! There is something very satisfying about drinking some Diet Coke with your name on it.

4. Revision will be the death of me

5. My new favourite app at the moment: Sims Freeplay. I wouldn't recommend it if you have exams like myself because you will get addicted and revision will be put behind you.

6. Nothing makes me happier than new books, I cant wait to get my teeth into these

7. I have started re-watching Merlin again and am already on series 4 (I only started last Monday, woops)

8+9. I decorated my hamsters cages with some stickers. They are very pleased I'm sure. The blue one is Merlin and Arthur's cage but I cant seem to find Merlin stickers anywhere so they had to settle for Doctor Who and Fred's cage is called the Burrow (she shared it with my other little hamster George) and so she gets Harry Potter stickers. 

So as you can see I am doing everything possible to procrastinate revision but on the 17th they will all be over 10 down 4 to go. So not long until my super duper long summer holiday! 

Irritation for the human race

The human race can be the most obnoxious, irritating and just damn right rude things you will ever encouter in your life. Yes, we have good things, but this post is going to focus on the bad: call me a pessimist, I don't care.
Down below I have complied a list of things that people do that really make me want to lose all of my morals and punch the person in the face. I am not saying I am not guilty of doing all of these things because lets face it I have probably done all of these things, but they still annoy the crap out of me.

*disclaimer; may be some foul language but it is kept to a minimum and also this is not my best writing, instead it was written as a rant, I apologise, half decent blog posts will resume as normal shortly*

• people who think they are better than everyone else

Why? Who gave you divine right to think you are better than anyone else? Who do you think you are? Just because you may have a better upbringing/more money/better morals etc, so what? You are just a bad a person as they are but just for a whole different reason. 

• stubbornness

I respect morals and holding your ground, but there comes a point where its just like, COME ON, loosen up stop being selfish and ignorant. Because that's what stubbornness effectively is it's just being selfish, when it gets to the point where you actually stop others for having fun because you wont do things any other way except your own.

• when you can actually smell the bulls**t when someone is sprouting a story to you 

(excuse the potty mouth, but I believe it was necessary)

I don't understand why you would want to tell a story that is completely made up just to make you look good. NO, just don't do it, don't lie, you WILL get caught out and end up looking like a complete idiot. Just don't do it, if you feel yourself wanting to tell a story of lies, go into another room and put a bin on your head.

• people who kiss ass 

Look, I get it, you like this person but the sun does not shine out of their ass. You just sound like an idiot when all you do is compliment them, especially when what you're saying is complete rubbish. Stooooop it please, for your sake if not my own because I will sit on you.

• people who make fun of others just because they are different and make them uncomfortable

Welcome to high school this should be renamed as. Seriously, what gave certain teenagers the right to make others feel unnecessarily uncomfortable just because they don't want to go out and smoke weed and get drunk but would rather do other things? The amount of times someone in my school would take the mick out of me for liking Harry Potter or anything else remotely nerdy was ridiculous: so what if I don't like the same things as you, chances are I probably think you're a dick, so just stop talking to me if you're going to be a douche about me.

• people who just constantly have to be right about everything

Let me just tell you one thing; you are never right all the time, so my dear, just accept that the probability of you being wrong is possible, just accept it and move away. Especially if there is evidence to prove you are wrong, don't for the love of God keep arguing because you look like a ninny. 

• those that have so much anger towards a person but never confront the person

What is the point of just being angry with someone and never telling them? If you tell them they might realise that they are being annoying and stop or if they don't agree with you then they will just leave your life, after all if you have so much anger towards them you wont care if they leave. Don't be bitchy behind their back because you will be caught out and you will look like the bad guy. So step up and stop getting walked all over please, have some self-respect.

• indirect statues/tweets 

Oh God, if there's one thing that makes me want to crumple up the internet over it is indirect statues or tweets. To start off, if you are never going to say it to their face then please DON'T just say it over the internet. Be a grown up about it all and tell the person instead of just hiding behind a computer screen. If you feel like doing an indirect, write it out, then delete it and step away from the internet until you have calmed down.

• when people suddenly start caring when something happens but didn't give a crap about you before

For example, a boy in my year's father has died from a long battle of cancer; no one cared before he died, now all of a sudden everyone is trying to pretend like they know him. Well no, I'm sorry but if you didn't care before, I'm pretty sure that the boy only wants his friends around him at this sad time. I encourage people to pay their respects but don't over step it and act like their best friend when you have barely uttered a word beforehand. Its like the same thing with suicide; no one cares when they are alive, but as soon as they are dead, suddenly they were the best thing since sliced bread. If you really thought that, how about telling them when they can still respond to you.

• people who say they didn't study/revise when they actually spent months revising. WHAT IS THE POINT IN LYING ABOUT THAT?

There is no shame in revising, everyone does it at some point. You don't seem more smart just because you say you haven't revised and then get full marks, you just look like a liar. You're not Einstein so please do not try to fool me that you are.

• people who never ever say sorry even when they know they are wrong

All it is is one word, if you know you are in the wrong, swallow your pride and say sorry because otherwise you drag the argument out longer than it needs to be and you end up looking like a bellend. In the end people will respect you more for admitting you're wrong that being arrogant and insisting you're right.

That will be all for now, but my God if you had seen the first draft of this it was just a collection of obscenities and keyboard smashes because these are the most annoying and irritating traits that people have. There are obviously many more, but these are the collection that have been annoying me recently. I can only apologise but this was written when I was in rant mode, so I apologise for the lack of good writing, but its good to have a moan everyone once in a while, especially when then human population is as annoying as it it.
