Favourite actors, actresses, films, TV shows and books.

Favourite actors:
  • Daniel Radcliffe
He brought to life my all time favourite fictional character and therefore he will always be a very special part in my heart. I also admire that although Harry Potter is over, he has continued to work and branch away from the franchise but still completely smashing everything that he does.
  • Colin Morgan
The way that he puts so much emotion into every single thing that he does is incredible. I also really love his personality and I think he is just genuinely a nice guy. I don't think I could say enough good things about Colin. I would give anything to meet him face to face.

Favourite actresses:
  • Dame Maggie Smith
I simply cannot put into words how much I love Maggie Smith; not only is she Professor McGonagall another of my favourite literacy characters but her part as the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey is brilliant, she takes such a brilliant part in the show and completely steals the lime light from every other character in the shot. I also seriously admire her so much, the fact that she carried on filming the Harry Potter films despite the fact that she had breast cancer, is something you really must tip your hat off to.
  • Jennifer Lawrence
Seriously though when have you ever seen a bad film that Jennifer Lawrence has been in? Never.
  • Emma Watson
She completely is Hermione Granger and she flies the flag high for all of the nerds. I love how much she loves acting and not only was she brilliant in Perks but it just shows that actually, yes, she can be a diverse and brilliant actress, who is such an incredible role model for young girls.

Favourite books:
(I am excluding Harry Potter from this one, but if you want to read why it is my favourite of all time click here)

  • The Hunger Games (series)
Its a crazy popular book for a reason: It has some truly brilliant writing and anything that has such a big franchise as The Hunger Games; deserves to be credited. This series is the type where I can see myself re-reading them for years and years to come.
  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Totally cliché of me I know: However, this book seriously captures the crappy and the good parts of being a teenager and shows the vulnerable experiences of 'teenhood' that we find so hard to describe brilliantly.
  • The Woman in Black
How a book can scare me so very much I will never know however, this book captures your heart in your mouth so brilliantly that you can literally envision the Woman In Black creeping up behind you. (argh, it still sends shivers down my spine) Definitely don't read before bed!
  • Here Come the Girls
A completely harmless, obvious but such a feel good book that whenever I am cheesed off  is one of the first books I pick up off my shelf. If you have been on a cruise before then you will love this book as it is all described so well you can just imagine yourself on the boat with the girls in the story.

Favourite films:
(again excluding Harry Potter)
  • Any and all Disney films
I couldn't name all of my favourites because to be honest I just love them all and so if you put a Disney movie on I will quite happily sit there and watch it. Although my absolute favourites include Tangled, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Monsters INC.
  • Just Go With It
Yes, its a chick flick and obviously the two main characters fall in love at the end; but with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in it then you really cant go wrong. It's light hearted and funny and is just a generally good film to watch with anyone.

  • The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror
Another Disney film, but an old one. In fact the ride at Disney is based on this film and I do believe that they used the very same ride as a set (although I could be making that up, I'm not too sure). Anyway, its not scary at all (it is a Disney film after all) but its a film I never tire of watching, my only problem is that I cant find it on DVD anywhere! *sad face*

Although I have only listed three, I am a major movie junkie and will watch probably anything that you sit me down in front of, just hand me some food and I'm set!

Favourite TV shows:
  • Merlin
Possibly and this is a very bold statement but I think Merlin could be my favourite TV show of all time *gasp*. It will come as no surprise to you all of course, but I just simply love it and my love for the characters, plot, actors and the clear affection between the cast both on and off screen is getting slightly ridiculous. (read more about why I like it here in a five series review)

  • Downton Abbey
I simply cannot stress to you how much I love Downton, its one of those shows that should be boring but is so exciting and just amazing that you simply cannot stop watching. I am craving series four extremely badly right now after the cliffhanger on the Christmas episode (which I reviewed here). It is a program for everyone and is only going from strength to strength.

  • Doctor Who
More so the older ones from series one to about series 5, but I am still enjoying the show a lot despite some dodgier ones in the most recent series'. I don't really need to go too much into detail because I'm pretty sure every human in the world has at least seen one episode of it!

  • Call the Midwife
Again, very much the same as with Downton but I really just cant seem to get enough of this kind of show. It really warms my heart and again here is review I have done of the show previously.

So thats it for now, but I will be doing another post shortly on more things that are my favourites (link to follow).

What's on my mind?

Are you sitting comfortably? Yes? Well lets get ready to take a trip through to my brain, good luck.

Have you ever loved a celebrity so much that you begin to hate them because of the emotional pain or feels that they leave you in? If you answered no, then I am very jealous of your sanity and capability to like something or someone without it effecting your life. If you answered yes, the I feel your pain, trust me I really do. The two people in particular (well more like gods than just people) that just make me loose all concentration and are the people to accuse for my high expectations in men are Colin Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe, those beautiful, beautiful men.
Then we have the fictional side of my brain which includes my believing (and I wholeheartedly believe this) that I am a wizard, I only can't do magic because of the whole not being able to do magic in front of Muggles and its hard because I live with Muggles 24/7, and also I'm not 17 yet so I still have the trace on me. I also spend  a lot more time than I should thinking about ways I could survive in the hunger games should I have the need to and who I would be come allies with, what I would ask my sponsors for and what if I didn't even have any sponsors, what district would I live in? It's just too many derisions to be taken lightly. I also think about what faction I would be in or would I be divergent, would I be able to be like Tris and lose everything I cared about and have to carry on fighting anyway? Where would the doctor take me in the Tardis? Would I be a good companion? What about in the time of Arthurian legends, would I be a sorcer like merlin or a noble/royal like Arthur and Morgana or would I be a servant like Gwen?

The I have what I like to call the sensible part of my brain that thinks about matters such as school, university's, my future, exams it tells me I should be revising or doing homework (only to be ignored by another part of the brain) I should be eating healthier and doing more exercise  I should be more social and try to come out of my shell a bit. Oh you look fine today stop fussing about what people think, that kind of thing.
However, in contrast of the previous part of the brain I have my devil side that thinks oh you have plenty of time to do that homework piece leave it until last minute, ah it's ageeeees until exams don't start revising you'll have enough time to do that in study leave. Have some cake you can exercise tomorrow, it's fine you're not overweight so you don't need to worry. What the heck is going on with your face today you look like a tramp. You get the idea that part of your brain that every girl has and tends to listen to more than the sensible part.
Then I have a part of my brain that is extremely anti social and tends to be activated primarily when I'm in school, the part of me that just wants to destroy everyone just for breathing too near me or for speaking or just being there, it's for the type of people in school who are destined to fail and you just have no time for.
I then have the part which completely overrides everything especially in school which makes me think I am listening and taking in what teachers are saying when in actual fact I am making up fantasy scenarios, or thinking about what I'm going to do when I go home and end up literally having no clue what I'm doing when it comes to doing work and ends up making me seem like I am deficient. Along with this I also have the part that remembers seriously annoying song lyrics (call me maybe is a prime example of this) and makes it stick in my head all day leading me to driving everyone crazy with my constant humming.

*phew* I could go on forever, but I will stop now before you think I'm so crazy you'll never return again.

The best of Youtube #1

One most visited websites is YouTube, I spend a lot of time scrolling through videos and going from each video to the next, sometimes its just pure crap but occasionally I do come across some gems, I thought I would share a few I've enjoyed in the past few days

Merlin Cast | Man We Love Merlin (dedications)

I found this yesterday when I was two episodes into watching the final series of Merlin and feeling pretty emotional about Merlin and the cast, and this most certainly didn't help it only added to my tears, it's such a cute video.

Daniel Radcliffe: A How-To Guide // Bad Teeth

I found this on the recommended videos (you can only imagine what I'd been watching to get this as a recommended video, haha.) Videos like this always make me fall that little bit extra in love with Daniel Radcliffe and the way he has remained down to earth despite his fame.

I heard this song a week or so ago through my subscriptions (if you're not subscribed to Alex Goot, you are doing life wrong, he is one of my favourite YouTubers for doing covers, and putting the originals to shame) and this cover is no different, it has completely annihilated the original, Taylor Swift take note.

Passenger - Let Her Go [Official Video]

I found this video because I knew of Passenger through being Ed Sheeran's support act on tour and I often check out his covers, but this song is an original and I love it, there's just something about it that I cant quite put my finger on but it just makes me really happy and the lyrics are brilliant. I suppose there is just something about a well written song that thrills me.

This Wild Life - Puppy Love (Official Music Video, New Acoustic)

I love this song I found it through another YouTube who used it as their background music, but it's a fun song and I have since brought it, really catchy I'd recommend them!

Harry Potter in 99 Seconds

I'm pretty sure every Harry Potter fan has seen this but I think it's always right to include it as its one of my favourites.

My most attractive celebrities

In no particular order...
Daniel Radcliffe,
In my opinion I think he is the most attractive man to walk this earth

Zac Efron,
Sorry but who wouldn't have him on their most attractive list?

Ed Sheeran,
Ed is mainly on here for his amazing personality and the fact that I am completely in love with him in a non-dirty way. Aw.

Logan Lerman,
Probably isn't the best photo, but this guy is so cute I just want to hug him all day long

Robert Sheehan,
Primarily for his role of Nathan in Misfits but he is still extremely attractive

Top girl crushes
because they are just simply flawless and I would die to look like them.

Emma Watson
She is just Hermione personified, and I love her for that so much

Jennifer Lawrence
Probably my ultimate 'girl crush' I just love how she doesn't conform to the Hollywood standards and is such a badass actress.

Mila Kunis
Everyone knows why shes on here, and if you don't think she is the most unfairly stunning girl in the world, then you are kidding yourself.
