A lesson in Tumblr: OTPs and BROTPs

Today, I'm going to go all Tumblr on your ass. For those of you that (have a life) don't have a Tumblr, OTP stands for "one true pairing" and basically means that you ship (want two people/characters to be together more than is considered normal) and Brotp is exactly the same thing, only minus the romance and you just love the friendship of the two characters/people. Being as big of a fangirl as I am I have developed many OTPs and Brotps over time. If you are reading this post and thinking I'm crazy, I'm pretty sure that if you really thought about it you 'ship' people exactly the same as me, you just haven't really thought about it and lead a normal life, where things like this don't really affect your day to day activities....

So to present this to you in the most organised way possible I am going to show you my otps/brotps from each of the fandoms that I am in.

Harry Potter
OTPs
Romione- Ron and Hermione

Hinny- Harry and Ginny
(only in the book, the film pairing is just awkward and makes me cringe)

Remus and Tonks

Neville and Luna
Doesn't happen in the books but I love that it does in the film

BROTPs
Ron and Harry

Luna and Harry

Hermione and Harry

The Hunger Games
OTPs
Everlark- Katniss and Peeta

BROTPs
Katniss and Gale

Merlin
OTPs
Merthur- Merlin and Arthur

Gwen and Arthur

Freya and Merlin
(yep, it lasts for one episode, but seeing Merlin truly fall in love melts my heart)

BROTPs
Gaius and Merlin

Basically all the knights with each other and with Merlin as well

Sherlock
OTPs
Johnlock- Sherlock and John

Sherlolly- Sherlock and Molly

BROTPs
Sherlock and Mrs Hudson

Doctor Who
OTPs
The tenth Doctor and Rose

The eleventh Doctor and Clara

Amy and Rory

BROTPs
The eleventh Doctor and Amy
The tenth Doctor and Donna

The tenth Doctor and Wilf

The tenth Doctor and Sarah-Jane

In real life my ultimate Brotp is Colin Morgan and Bradley James. I love their friendship SO so so much and it makes me incredibly sad that they probably will never act together again. *sad face*

So that's all for now folks, but I hope you enjoyed a small insight to the love that goes on in a fangirl's head.

Meeting Benedict Cumberbatch

After a very dull school revision myself and Molly decided to go to Cardiff for lunch. It was only when we were there did she realise that Sherlock was set to be filming there about 10 mins from where we were, so we used the gps on Molly's phone and headed over there.
It was freezing cold and we had very little in the department of layers so we stood and jumped around trying to regain body heat. Just as we were about to give up, the extremely kind people of the Beverly Hotel gave us some hot (and very, very welcome) tea and some chips and soon enough I could at least start to feel my feet again.
Some other Sherlock fans arrived short after, along with Molly's mum baring gifts of two huge warm coats, gloves, scarves and hats. We waiting for a while longer, talking to the other fans about Sherlock and the other masterpieces of the BBC.
One of the crew came out to ask us to be a bit quieter as Benedict was inside the bed and breakfast shooting and they could hear us, he gave us some information about the shoot (nothing too significant though, so don't worry), he also took our address to get signatures to be sent to our house because they had none on them at that present moment, so we were all very happy that we would at least be getting a signature. A short while later Sue Vertue came out and told us that as long as we didn't scream or run over, Benedict would come out and say hello.
We all were extremely happy and I would like to say a massive thank you to Sue for arranging this because it meant that all that waiting around in the freezing cold weather was completely worth it just to finally say that we had seen Benedict Cumberbatch.

Here are some pictures I took.

also here is a video Molly took.

Thank you Benedict for taking the time out of shooting to say hello to us all I'm pretty sure you have made all of our Easters that little bit more special, and given all of our parents an earache with the amount we will be talking about it!
